Calendar User Guide

A calendar is identified by its name and color, which you can change at any time.

Changing a calendar's color changes the color of all of its events. If you want an event to have a different color, either change the color of the whole calendar or move the event to a calendar with a different color.

To manually apply a background color to an email, click the message in your viewer window, choose Format - Show Colors to bring up the color picker, and sele. The new color picker automatically converts colors picked from native OS X applications, including Safari and Xcode from your monitor's color profile to sRGB. This means, you'll get the same 1 RGB values as those used in your code. Looking for your perfect foundation shade? Explore our Foundation Finder. Select your skin tone depth, then choose your undertone to meet your shade match.

Rename a calendar

  1. In the Calendar app on your Mac, double-click the calendar's name in the list, or force click the name.

If you don't see the calendar list on the left, choose View > Show Calendar List.

  2. Type a new name for the calendar.

You can't rename the Exchange calendar named Calendar.

Change a calendar's color

  1. In the Calendar app on your Mac, Control-click the calendar's name in the calendar list.

If you don't see the calendar list on the left, choose View > Show Calendar List.

  2. Click a colored circle to select a preset color, or click Custom Color to select a color from the Colors window.

Note: You can't change the color of some calendars, such as the Birthdays calendar and the Siri Suggestions calendar.

How do I color code each event without making a new calendar and grouping the calendars together to see the different event colors? Also, when I am grouping calendars together (because I had to use this option for color coding) why does it, when published, revert to only one color. Meaning that all the calendars together which were once color coded all get turned to blue instead of the purple, green and red they once were.
Hope that makes sense for someone out there.
